24 July - a walk in the Monkey Forest

We have breakfast in the bakery at the front of the Kakiang Bungalow.

We go for a walk but don't make it too far before we reach the Monkey Forest. We decide to go in.
The Monkey Forest is full of what else but monkeys !

We detour up a dirt road to Jalan Bisma. We walk through the most picturesque rice fields.

We stop at a small roadside cafe for a drink, in the middle on nowhere, near Nick's Hidden Hotel.

Stopped again at Uma Sari for a drink. A lovely place - must stay there some day.

After a bit more of a walk along the ridge, we stop at Warung Ibu Arini for a very tasty and very cheap lunch. We watch lots of school kids drop in for a snack.

Stopped for a look in a temple, Pura Lukisan.

Walked to the Bridge Cafe for banana fritters and coffee.

Home for a wash.

Dinner at Pundi Pundi. Yum.
